#TBT: Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting in ‘Northern Exposure’ in 1994

The show ‘Northern Exposure’ was always one of my favorite shows in the 1990’s.  In the Episode ‘Hello, I Love You’, one of the main characters, Shelly [played by Cynthia Geary] is pregnant with a child which she has already pre-named Miranda.   While in the laundrymat she meets a seven-year old girl named Miranda, played by Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting.  She is adorable!

Synopsis for Northern Exposure

Joel Fleishman [Morrow]  is fresh out of medical college, and fresh out of luck. Failing to read the fine print in his scholarship conditions, he finds he has no choice but to move to the remote and somewhat eccentric town of Cicely, in the wilds of Alaska. Once there, he is welcomed by the peculiar locals who are not keen to see him go, most especially Maurice Minnifield [Corbin], the ex-NASA astronaut. Despite Joel’s adamant denials, one gets the impression that he enjoys life in Cicely more than he admits.

#TBT – Jim Parsons is our Throwback Thursday Subject This Week from “Ed”

Jim Parsons has been best known for his role as Dr. Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory and more recently as Tommy Boatwright in the film The Normal Heart as well.   We also know him as a stage actor who brought life to Harvey on Broadway,  in his role as  Elwood,  as well as Tommy Boatwright in the stage version of The Normal Heart.   But as Sheldon Cooper we first really began to take notice of the talent and skill that Jim Parsons brings to the acting community.

However, before all of these and many other projects, Jim had many smaller roles that led him to audition for Dr. Sheldon Cooper.   Today we bring you a role in a series called Ed.  In Season 3, episode 3, Jim guest starred as the character Chet in Ed in the year 2002.   Episode 3 of Season 3 was called “The Road”.  Here is a clip from that scene.  Enjoy!

About the Series Ed:

Ed Stevens is a contracts lawyer at a high-profile New York City firm. Around the same time he splits with his wife (she slept with a mailman), he makes a single error in punctuation when going over a contract; and because of the resulting financial loss to the firm, he’s fired. Despondent, he heads back to his (small) hometown of Stuckeyville — ‘Anytown’, USA. There he realises he’s been missed by a lot of friends whom he’s missed; and he sees Carol, the girl he’d adored in high school. Swept up in roiling emotions, Ed buys the local bowling alley on a whim, moves to Stuckeyville, and determines to win Carol’s heart. His horizons broaden as he settles once more in Stuckeyville, and the series itself settles into a charming, funny, often serious slice-of-life series focused not solely on Ed but on the lovable ensemble cast of people who live and work with him in Stuckeyville.

This past week on The Bazinga Cast was what we consider normal. You can’t predict anything and this shows it. We thought with the contracts being signed and production beginning, that our traffic would increase a little, but it shows that you can’t predict anything.

However, with all that happening, we still had 9,885 hits this past week, with Monday being the highest day. We also had a celebration this week of hitting 200,000 total hits since the website was started on February 28, 2013. Since breaking that we’ve had over 7,000 hits.

So, even though in total numbers, it was a normal week, we still had an exciting week. Let’s see what the first taping of the season brings, as it is Tuesday!

#TBT: Melissa Rauch on ‘The Office’

Melissa Rauch is our featured Big Bang Theory star for this week’s Throwback Thursday (#TBT) story.

March 4, 2010, ‘The Office‘ aired an episode entitled ‘The Delivery:  Part 2‘ which featured Melissa Rauch as a mother of a newborn in the hospital sharing the room with regular character Pam on ‘The Office‘.   Needless to say hilarity ensues.

In this clip with Melissa, Pam Beesly is played by Jenna Fischer and Jim Halpert is played by John Kransinski.

Melissa makes an adorable newborn mother.   Wonder if we will ever see Bernadette try to be a new mother before the series ends.

#TBT: Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting played Maureen McCormick in Growing Up Brady

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting is most known for her role as Penny (with a mystery last name) on The Big Bang Theory, but Kaley has been in the business ever since a toddler.   Did you know that she used to have an association with The Brady Bunch, the big hit 1970’s series?

This week for our Throwback Thursday, we bring you her role as  Maureen McCormick in Growing Up Brady.

The movie is a slightly fictionalized tale about the production of the 1969-1974 ABC sitcom The Brady Bunch, where Kaley played Maureen McCormick, as pre-teen and teenager Marcia Brady, with backstage dramas among the cast and the show’s producer.

She makes a pretty adorable Marcia.   We hope you enjoy these Throwback Thursday posts and are learning a little more about some of the skills and talent of the cast of The Big Bang Theory.
