CANNES: Johnny Galecki, Chloe Sevigny, Angelica Huston in Horror-Comedy ‘Master Cleanse’

“The Big Bang Theory” star Johnny Galecki, Chloe Sevigny and Angelica Huston have come on board horror-comedy “Master Cleanse” for Bron Studios and Gilbert Films.
The film is scheduled to begin production in early July in Vancouver. XYZ Films will introduce “Cleanse” to to international buyers in Cannes with a pre-visualization of the project. WME Global arranged financing and is representing North American rights.
Producers are Jordan Horowitz for Gilbert Films, Aaron L. Gilbert for Bron Studios and Galecki for his Alcide Bava Pictures. The executive producers are Gary Gilbert, Todd Masters, Margot Hand and John Raymonds.
Bobby Miller is directing from his own script in which Galecki’s character decides to restart his life, joining a spiritual retreat designed to cleanse negative toxins from his body — only to discover the cleanse releases something far greater than toxins and traumatic experiences.
Miller is repped by WME. Galecki is repped by WME and Management 360.

Johnny has been confirmed to being in the film. The director of the film posted there a confirmation.

Hi all!
I can confirm that Johnny is working on a feature film on his hiatus called “The Master Cleanse”. I can confirm this because I’m the writer/director! He’s practically in every frame of the movie, so I’m very excited for you all to see it. They’ve labeled it as “horror”, but there’s quite a bit of comedy, drama, and romance…As for “horror” – I think it’s more “Gremlins” then say “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” – know what I mean? But, I think it’s going to be pretty unique.

AFM Screen Daily: Anna Friel replaces Chloë Sevigny on The Master Cleanse

The British actress has joined the Bron Studios and Gilbert Films fantasy-horror and replaces replaces Chloë Sevigny who had a scheduling conflict. Production commenced in Vancouver on July 11.
Oliver Platt, Kyle Gallner and Kevin J O’Connor have also joined Johnny Galecki and Anjelica Huston on the production.
As Screendaily reported exclusively in Cannes, The Master Cleanse marks the feature debut of writer-director Bobby Miller.
XYZ Films represents international rights and launched pre-sales in Cannes, closing deals with Japan (Kadokawa), Italy (Movies Inspired), Taiwan (MovieCloud), Indonesia (Queen), India (Pictureworks) and the Middle East (Falcon).
Galecki, famous for his role in The Big Bang Theory, stars as a heartbroken man who attends a spiritual retreat only to discover that the course releases more than everyday toxins and traumatic experiences.
