Hollywood Premiere of ‘Wish I Was Here’ Tonight with Jim Parsons & Zach Braff

Jim Parsons of  CBS’ ‘The Big Bang Theory‘ and HBO’s ‘The Normal Heart‘ is attending the Premiere of ‘Wish I Was Here‘ tonight, a film which was written, produced and directed by his friend, and best known for his role in Scrubs,  Zach Braff.   This will be the second film in which the two have worked together, the first being Zach’s film project ‘Garden State‘ which was a previous official selection at the  Sundance Film Festival.

Zach’s film became a media sensation when he more than raised the funds required in a very short time for the film using Kickstarter.   Backers of the film have been beyond pleased with the success of the film shown to audiences at Sundance and private film festivals.   Tonight they will be celebrating another milestone in that the film is Premiering in Hollywood at the ArcLight Cinemas in
Beverly Hills, California.

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting has a big heart and today she is not only helping one charitable cause, The Human Society Save the Seal SoulCycle Event, but she also met and throws her support to Blankets of Love, an organization focused on “blanketing” shelters for animals across America.  Learn more below.

About Blankets of Love

The Blankets of Love Outreach organization is committed to improving the lives of the homeless and less fortunate. Homelessness is a huge problem in the Atlanta area, there are approximately 13,000 constant homeless persons in the metro counties.  This year alone, 21,000 men, women and children will at some point find themselves homeless.

While it may be impossible to remove every person from the street, it is in fact possible to allow each person living on the street to maintain their dignity and self-respect.  We at Blankets of Love also believe that homeless and hungry are not synonymous and therefore no person should go a whole day without at least one meal.

Each spring, the Canadian government authorizes fishermen to club and shoot hundreds of thousands of baby seals. Because markets for seal pelts are closing around the world, the furs often sit in a warehouse unwanted. Your fundraising campaign will help save hundreds of thousands of baby seals from this vicious and unnecessary slaughter and bring an end Canada’s commercial seal hunt.

Baby seals are slaughtered every year as part of the commercial seal hunt in Canada, and I need your help to stop this cruelty.

KVELLER: Mayim Bialik – The Cast Of “Blossom” Reunited & This is What Happened

1. Status

The four of us (me, Jenna, Joey, and Michael) had not all been together in just about 20 years. Michael, Jenna, and I had done an appearance on the TV show “‘Til Death” maybe five years ago, but Joey was not involved in that. Joey and I did an Old Navy commercial a few years ago, and Jenna and I have been communicating, largely about breast feeding and being moms, since her daughter was born two years ago. We even wrote a joint post about our relationship and on her website, The Cradle Chronicles. Michael and I were always very close and I’ll admit he was always my favorite! He and I have gotten together here and there over the years and more recently, we’ve socialized more.

2. Fun

In some ways, the four of us grew up together. When “Blossom” started, I was 14, Joey was 13, Jenna was 12, and Michael was, as he likes to say, “older.” We spent five years together on a set which meant that we saw each other more than we saw our families or our outside friends. We had in-jokes aplenty and we were together for some very important years of our development. Getting back together this way was like one big social party. We joked a lot, Joey did impressions of Johnny Carson and Jon Lovitz which made me laugh just as it always did. Jenna remembers a lot of funny stuff that I have forgotten and Michael remains the person who makes me laugh the most with the wisest insight about everything it seems. We have not had cause to be together this way in 20 years and I don’t think an informal get together would have produced the same kind of hilarity as filming these promos for Hub Network did. This was simply how it all evolved for us to get back together and I am grateful for it!
